| Abstract | How do extraordinary experiences, especially during childhood and adolescence, affect political attitudes? Most studies focusing on political movements only implicitly address the connection between biographical experiences and political attitudes. Moreover, a detailed understanding of these impacts often remains merely hypothetical. Biographical studies increasingly address the relationship between politics and biography through empirical and hermeneutic approaches. For his doctoral thesis, Dirk MICHEL conducts autobiographical narrative interviews with 20 Jewish Israelis. Based on their extraordinary biographical experiences, MICHEL categorized the interviewees into two groups—the "German Zionists" and the "German Holocaust survivors." He then conducts semi-structured interviews with each of the participants with the aim of analyzing their political attitudes. However, the conceptual categorization of the interviewees, the empirical investigation of the research question and the subsequent analysis all challenge the underpinning theoretical and methodological concepts of the study.URN: http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs1203165 ; ¿Cómo afectan las experiencias extraordinarias, especialmente durante la niñez y la adolescencia, a las actitudes políticas? Los estudios biográficos han aumentado su atención sobre la relación entre política y biografía mediante enfoques empíricos y hermenéuticos. Para su tesis doctoral, Dirk MICHEL hizo entrevistas autobiográficas narrativas a 20 israelitas judíos. Con base en estas extraordinarias experiencias biográficas, MICHEL categorizó a los entrevistados en dos grupos, "los alemanes sionistas" y los "alemanes sobrevivientes al holocausto". Für seine Dissertation führte der Erziehungswissenschaftler Dirk MICHEL zunächst autobiografisch-narrative Interviews mit zwanzig jüdischen Israelis und kategorisierte sie anhand außerordentlicher biografischer Ereignisse in zwei Gruppen, die "Gruppe deutscher Zionisten" und die "Gruppe deutscher Holocaustüberlebender". Erst in einem zweiten Schritt, anhand von Leitfadeninterviews, untersucht er, inwiefern sich diese Gruppen hinsichtlich ihrer politischen Einstellungen unterscheiden.
