Abstract	Am Beispiel von Erzählproduktionen von Kindern im Grundschulalter anhand von Wimmelbüchern wird gezeigt, wie mehrsprachige Kinder im mündlichen Erzählen in der Zweitsprache Deutsch gefördert werden können. The increasing number of multilingual children in primary school classes underlines the need for innovative didactic concepts for language promotion. This is true not least with regard to the task of primary school teaching to introduce all children to written culture and conceptual writing. Against this background, the offer of text-free picture book stories does not necessarily seem to impose itself. Nevertheless, long-term observations in an inter-grade learning group in grades 1 to 3 show that pupils not only perceive the subtle narrative composition of a (nearly) text-free picture book story, but also want to express their appreciation for it. Using the example of narrative productions on Rotraut Susanne Berner’s Wimmelbücher, this paper aims to show how book reception can evoke text creation skills and invite multilingual children to tell (also their own) stories.
