Abstract	Internationale Bildungspolitik bedeutet ganz allgemein das 'Reden über Erziehung und Bildung' in nationale Grenzen überschreitenden Konstellationen mit dem Willen der 'politischen' Gestaltung - im Unterschied zum 'praktischen' erzieherischen Handeln. Der Beitrag reflektiert den Aufstieg von zwei globalen Bildungsallianzen: der Globalen Bildungskampagne (GCE: Global Campaign for Education) und der Globalen Bildungspartnerschaft (GPE: Global Partnership for Education). Es handelt sich bei beiden weder um internationale Regierungsorganisationen, noch um private philanthropische 'Global Player' wie z. B. die Bill und Melinda Gates Stiftung, sondern um Gebilde neuer Art, die jenseits, zwischen oder mit anderen nationalen wie internationalen Akteuren agieren. Als transnationale Organisationen neuer Art versprechen die beiden diskutierten globalen Bildungsallianzen, sich für mehr und bessere schulische Bildung weltweit einzusetzen, was die wissenschaftlich und bildungspolitisch relevante Frage aufwirft, welches Modell von Schule für ihr Handeln Pate steht. International education policy generally means 'talking about education' in constellations that transcend national borders with the intention of 'political' organisation - in contrast to 'practical' educational action. The article reflects on the rise of two global education alliances: the Global ampaign for Education (GCE) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). Both are neither international governmental organisations nor private philanthropic 'global players' such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, but rather new kinds of entities that operate beyond, between or with other national and international players. As transnational organisations of a new kind, the two global education alliances under discussion promise to work for more and better school education worldwide, which raises the scientifically and educationally relevant question of which model of school is the inspiration for their actions.
