(Autorenreferat). "The methodology of the Logical Analysis of Situation, developed by Karl Popper is applied to events in a Central European university during the 70s of the 20th century. The focus lies hereby on the change of procedures connected with the election of the dean of one of the faculties. The first part of the article deals with the methodology, which is specific for social science research on the one hand and with a theory developed by Alan P. Fiske, by which four different types of social relations are delineated on the other hand. The second part of the research report deals with the change of organizational procedures, which are used at this faculty for the election of the dean. The last two chapters of the article analyze the institutional and functional changes connected with the new election procedure and reconstruct the new logic of selection of the candidates. All these changes are analyzed on the methodological basis of the Logical Analysis of Situation." (author's abstract). |
