Abstract	This volume is part of the background report to the Third report on vocational training in Europe. It addresses research work to assess the material and non-material impact of education, training and skills at macroeconomic and regional levels, and the impact on enterprises and individuals. The picture is completed by case studies on the impact of active labour-market policy (ALMP) with training components, in both effects for the economy and social integration.
