Abstract	The article particularly concerns with circumstances and problems of migration in a world-wide perspective. Starting point is the Report of the Global Commission on International Migration, which has been developed on behalf of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan. The Recommendations of this report were treated on the High Level Dialogue of the UN in September 2006, in order to strengthen the readiness for coherent migration politics in the community of states. The article, for which also own experiences from the commission work are the basis, proceeds from the conceptual change in migration politics, which demands that migration has always to be connected with coherent means of integration. Therefore the presentation describes the actual migration phenomena and recommends guidelines for migration politics, which must be used within the core areas of political acting (education, security, job market).
