Abstract	In order to share the experience and expertise of the OECD countries in analyzing the relationships between education and the economy as well as in developing strategies and measures to improve these relationships ... there was held a Conference on Education and the Economy in Central and Eastern Europe on 29 June - 1 July 1992 at the OECD. Analysis of a series of education and economy links were undertaken by a group of experts including experts from Bulgaria, the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania. They serve as the basic input for the conference, which dealed with those areas of concern as the role of education in view of the changes in labour markets, the role of the major sectors of the education system - basic education, further training of the adult labour force and higher education -, the structure of education provision, curriculum and mechanisms for interaction with the economy. The document contains the agenda of the conference with brief characteristics of the main concerns in the CEEC. (DIPF/St.).
