Abstract | The basis for the data of the study reported here are reflections of participants in the "Overseas Student Teaching Project" of Indiana University which they were asked to give after 3 weeks in their host nation schools. "The present study examines considerable data pertaining to adaptations to host nation culture that U.S. student teachers reported making to enhance their experiences in overseas schools, homes, and communities. These adaptations include both those that the student teachers expected to make and those that they did not anticipate beforehand. Based on these data, implications for the preparation of individuals participating in cross-cultural teaching experiences will be discussed." (DIPF/Text übernommen/Bi) |
