Abstract | Within the program of History classes at 11H, the pupils examine the concept of crime againsthumanity. Recognizing that studying of the Shoahis increasingly becoming an excuse for visiting aconcentration camp, we question the relevanceand the educational intentions behind such trips, focusing on aspects such as the age of the pupils, the number of the participants, the preparation, the involvement of the young people and the confusion about the status of these outings. Finally, we propose new approaches in order to address alternatively the question of memory and racisminherent in this theme. |
