Abstract	The outsourcing, or external provision, of Health and Physical Education has been a consistent topic in futures talk in the field within the last 35 years. Research on this topic has been increasing during this period, with a number of empirical studies published in the last ten years. Over this time, there has also been an expanding corpus of literature examining outsourcing of extra-curricular physical activities. There has to date, however, been limited examination of the connections between these two topics. This chapter, therefore, will bring together research on these two topics to explore whether and how the outsourcing of one of these areas impacts the other. Through this work, the implications for students, teachers, external providers, and the community will be highlighted. (Autor).
