| Abstract | This chapter examines the complex space of sport development in and around schools, both primary and secondary delivery physical education (PE), in different ways and with different resource constraints. Likewise, there are emergent new policy frameworks around the Youth Sport Trust and the PE School Sport Premium at primary level that are having differential influences on areas and sports. The purpose of the chapter, therefore, is to examine this in depth and look at how schools now interact with sports development policy and how sport development policy shape practices around school delivery. It will also touch upon some of the subtle differences between each of the UK home nations. (Autor). |
