Abstract | It is not unsual that university students even in subject-didactic teaching complain of a lack of interaction, an excess of theoretical input and an insufficient supply with regard to classroom practices. A still prevailing script in many seminars reportedly consists of an introduction given by the lecturer, the issuing of presentation topics, talks given by students and finally a written exam or a thesis. In the light of those reports, an innovative project has been conceived at the chair for the didactics of Romance languages at the University of Kassel based on the implementation of task-based teaching and learning in the field of foreign language academic teaching. The main objective consists of directly relating didactic theory to practice through the development and the practical trial of tasks in school classes and thus enhancing autonomous and reflective pedagogical acting. The present paper presents the conception, the implementation and the evaluation of the project. (Verlag). |
