Abstract	For decades, STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) educators have been discussing more student-centered ways of teaching. However, the effects on day-to-day teaching remain limited. There are several reasons for this theory-practice divide, including research with a Jack of relevance for practice, neglect of the dissemination and implementation processes and a Jack of cooperation between key actors in the educational system. In the paper the author have a closer look at the current state of the art in relation to these issues and develop a conceptual framework for overcoming these aspects. Afterwards, she briefly discusses two projects with the help of this framework. (DIPF/Orig.).
