Abstract | This paper is an ethnographic study on the effects of boxing. Ta get a deeper insight into the micro process of bodily learning, we will explore a ease study. After a brief look at the sports program light-contact boxing, the ethnographic access will be examined. Michael Polanyi's theory of "tacit knowing" and its elaboration by Georg Hans Neuweg (1999; 2015) form the basis of the theoretical discussion. In my opinion Polanyi's approach is particularly suitable for the analysis of bodily learning processes since he offers a relationship between explicit and implicit learning. After demonstrating the case study, essential learning parameters will be elaborated from the empirical data. The given text examples are significant references. The presentation of results provides educational starting points which use implicit teaching and learning processes as a central category. (Autor). |
