| Abstract | New views and beliefs about working in old age are emerging as a result of demographic change. The traditional way of viewing ageing workers as employees with deficits that should exit the labour market early is making way for an approach where ageing workers are seen as a true resource. In this chapter, [the authors] analyse the dynamics of this development from a vocational education and training (VET) perspective by focusing on the relationships between the attitude towards learning and work, learning activities and employability of ageing workers. The goal is to establish a new field of research within VET and to identify new themes and research questions. (Orig.). |
