(Autor). Children's body weight and motor ability are two important dimensions which play a significant role for the perception of physical education. This multi-method study conducted in primary schools shows that children with high motor abilities - regardless of their body weight - experience both significantly less anxiety in physical education and significantly less negative criticism from their peers compared to children with a low motor ability.
