| Abstract | In teaching of the different sports disciplines are applied various multimedia and software products. The purpose of this study is to present the designed and developed specialized training model in table tennis. It was used by us for teaching and training of students at the University of the National and World Economy in Sofia. The model combines theoretical knowledge in the form of multimedia presentations and practical exercises. Subject of study are 40 students 1st and 2nd year of study from different professional fields of the university. To realize this objective the following research methods have been implemented: pedagogical experiment, motor tests, test for measuring of the visual memory, test for measuring of the self-confidence, activity and mood of the students. In the developed specialized model with application of multimedia technologies are described (1) the educational content and (2) the organization of the academic work during the pedagogical experiment in the sports training in table tennis. The next stage of the study includes the influence of the developed model on the performances of the students in table tennis play, their motor abilities and some psychological characteristics, determined by the used by us tests.
