| Abstract | The paper deals with the issues of development of university sport in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The activity of the leading universities in their regions in the segment "University Sport" was analyzed including: Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University (Moscow) and National Mineral Resources University "Mining University" (St. Petersburg). The problems of the development of mass university sport in higher school, elite sport, issues of information support of activities of sports clubs and physical education departments. New approaches to the organization of work on the development of university sport in Moscow and St. Petersburg higher schools on the example of one of the leading universities are simIiar in many ways and have a common vector of development. For now we can say that, having studied the work of the titled universities, the authors presented a general model of development of university sport in higher school. The current tasks include modernization of the given model, improvement ot its quality and the quality of its individual components. But the development of university sport in a particular institution largely depends on the interest and the will of the head, especially on the personality of the head of the department of physical education. The direction of development of the university is determined by the head. Rector of the university is a leader in charge of all the University activities, quality and overall control and of the level of development of university sport in his institution. Verf.-Referat. |
