Abstract | In Germany, full-time vocational schools have a similarly long tradition, such as the dual system of vocational training and general high schools. The monopoly of the general high schools in obtaining permission to enter the university made sure that this privilege was denied the higher vocational schools for a long time. The article describes the futile efforts of the vocational secondary schools for equality. This equality could only be achieved by adapting to the curriculum of general high schools. Thus, the vocational high schools have largely lost their function of vocational qualifying. (DIPF/Orig.). |
