In a series of two articles the authors present the Maltreatment Classification System (MCS) developed by Barnett, Manly and Cicchetti (1993) which is one of the few internationally recognized and theoretically as well as empirically substantiated classification systems for recording the abuse and neglect of children and young people. In issue 6.2014 of this Journal the categories of the MCS were described and evaluated using an example from youth care services which was analysed within the framework of the research project AMlS. This second part of the report continues the elaboration of the categories and summarises the results of the research project. |
