Abstract	Paraguayan History textbooks portraying the "stronista"1 regime in this country, published between 1989 and 2008, which are used in middle schools, are submitted to a critical discourse analysis. Thus, a macro and micro semantic analysis are carried out according to the analysis categories from T. van Dijk, and making reference to what's hidden in their discourse. Representations of the stronismo are adapted to the democratic reality of the country, including aspects that emphasize its negative perception. However, there are still a few opinions strongly rooted in the idea of peace and prosperity during this regime, which become decisive in the formation of the young students' mentality. Descriptions of the repressions and its tools during the regime as well as its violation of human rights are omitted. As a result, the new generation risks not being able to recognize traces of this period of history. By the year 2008, the analysis shows an attempt to bring back to light the agents' perspective; and name some of the guilty, which provides evidence of a struggle among historians to make their stories the most legitimate ones. Desde el Análisis Crítico del Discurso se analizan las diferentes representaciones del régimen stronista, que aparecen en los textos escolares de Historia del Paraguay para la escuela secundaria, editados entre 1989 y 2008. Se procede con un análisis macro y microsemántico siguiendo categorías de análisis de T. van Dijk, incluyendo qué se oculta en el discurso. Las representaciones del stronismo de tiempos de la dictadura, van siendo recontextualizadas en democracia, con la inclusión de aspectos que ponen énfasis en la presentación negativa del régimen, sin embargo, todavía existen, convicciones fuertemente arraigadas -como la idea de la paz y el progreso- representación que resulta decisiva en la conformación de modelos mentales de los jóvenes estudiantes. Se omite en los textos el análisis de la represión y de los medios utilizados, silenciándose las consecuencias de la trasgresión a los DDHH durante la dictadura, con el riesgo de que las nuevas generaciones lleguen a invisibilizar parte de las secuelas de este período. Hacia el año 2008 se observa un intento de rescatar la perspectiva de los sujetos y otorgar agencialidad a algunos responsables, evidenciando la coexistencia de múltiples memorias que disputan entre sí por convertir su relato en el relato legítimo del pasado.
