Abstract	As biological entities active movement is essential for our physical and emotional well-being. As citizens of an increasingly global community participation in sport regardless of circumstance facilitates citizenship among all peoples. Participation in non-competitive and competitive sports as an individual or as a member of a team regardless of economic status, nationality, gender, or ability is a facilitator of both self-understanding and for achieving an understanding other cultures and value systems. Both of these are essential for personal and career success. Existing and emerging technology is an enabler of international community engagement. We will communicate historical experience, current practice and provide visions for an approach from which will emerge an exciting future that incorporates the essence of the philosophy of sport and eliminates barriers to participation; increasing global understanding of the benefits of the diversity of cultures and value systems, and promoting a peaceful world.
