Abstract	The present article will first examine the concept of fizkul'tura as it has established itself in Russia after the end of the civil war. It differs from the western notion of physical culture insofar as it integrates every aspect of conservation and improvement of physical health, including rest and sleep. However, the development of fizkul'tura in the second half of the 1920s is marked by a progressive sportivisation. In the course of the 1930s Soviet sports policy shifts to the encouragement of high-level sport, following the aim of dominating the international sports competitions. The identification and analysis of these steps is based mainly on sources from the archives of communism in Moscow. (Autor). L'article se penche d'abord sur le concept de fizkul'tura tel qu'il s'est établi en Russie après la guerre civile. Celui-ci intègre tous les aspects de conservation et d'amélioration de la santé corporelle (entre autres le repos et le sommeil) et se distingue ainsi de la notion occidentale de " culture physique ". Cependant, la fizkul'tura connaît un processus de sportivisation considérable dès la seconde moitié des années 1920. Au cours des années 1930 s'opère un glissement significatif de la politique sportive soviétique vers l'encouragement de la haute performance, avec l'objectif de dominer les compétitions sportives internationales. L'identification et l'analyse de ces étapes s'appuient en premier lieu sur des sources en provenance des archives du communisme à Moscou. (Autor).
