| Abstract | The article shows step by step, that the concept customer is not sufficient to map the development processes of students in studying and sufficiently differentiated to explain. The customer approach sees the university as a business and not teachers as a profession, otherwise the term would be "clients" for students much more accurate. Particularly questionable is the talk of students as customers, when study is understood as (enabling) education, students will be designed as a "customer education" absurd. Students acquire a university degree not (as customers) this or that externally lasting knowledge or skills that they then use to carry away in the later activities, but work on themselves, and do so in dealing with the science of their choice and exchange and cooperation with others. Students are characterized in that they engage in the scientific work, the more contributors to the scientific process, learning and working. The usual objections against this potential are then referenced and exhausted. (HDZD/text adopted). |
