| Abstract | Nowadays Institute of Physical Culture and Youth Policy is a strong and dynamically developing educational structure of Ural federal university named after the First President of the RF B. N. El'tsyn. The institute is rich in sports achievements, good traditions, gained authority, it is recognized in the sphere of physical culture and sport. Research work in different directions is being conducted in the institute: problems of management in the sphere of physical culture and sport, matters of psychological support of elite athletes, psychophysiological basics of forecasting in sport, problems of physical rehabilitation and recovery in sport, technologies of special physical training of qualified racing skiers, problems of perfection of technical training in game sports. At present students are being trained in 5 bachelor's and master's directions: Physical culture, Management, Public relations, Sociocultural service, Organization of work with youth. Studies on physical culture are conducted for 13 thousands of students of Ural federal university. Success in the field of elite sport of Ural federal university is based on the firm foundation of development of mass physical culture among university students and teachers. Over 100 sports-mass measures are being held in the university within a year. The university has a wonderful material and technical base for classes of physical culture and sport, 18 sports facilities (tracks, stadium, tennis courts, gyms, modern basketball, volleyball, handball and futsal gyms).
