Abstract | Das Buch wendet sich an Fremdsprachenlehrer, die Interaktion nicht nur als Schlagwort ansehen, sondern sich darum bemuehen, sie im Unterricht lebendig werden zu lassen. Nach einer aus zwei Beitraegen bestehenden eher theoretischen Einfuehrung (Wilga M. Rivers:" Interaction as the key to language teaching for communication", S. 3 - 16, und Claire J- Kramsch: "Interactive discourse in small and large groups", S. 17 - 32) folgen acht Aufsaetze zur Unterrichtspraxis (Stephen A. Sadow: "Speaking and listening: imaginitive activities for the language class", S 33 - 43, Bernice S. Melvin und David F. Stout: "Motivating language learners through authentic materials", S. 44 - 56, Raymond F. Comeau: "Interactive oral grammar exercises", S. 57- 69, Anthony Papalia: "Interaction of reader and text", S. 83 - 92, Alan Maley: "Poetry and song as effective language-learning activities", S. 93 - 109, Richard Via: "'The magic if' of theater: enhancing learning through drama", S. 110 - 123 sowie Marlies Mueller: "Interactive testing: time to be a test pilot", S. 124 - 140). In einem dritten Teil, ueberschrieben mit "The wider world", verlassen die Autoren das Klassenzimmer, um auf moegliche ausserschulische Aktivitaeten aufmerksam zu machen (Gail L. N. Robinson: "Culturally diverse speech styles", S. 141 - 154, Karen Price: "The use of technology: varying the medium in language teaching", S. 155 - 169, Peter Strevens: "Interaction outside the classroom: using the community", S. 170 - 176, Robert Ariew und Judith G. Frommer: "Interaction in the computer age", S. 177 - 193, sowie Anne R. Dow und Joseph T. Ryan Jr.: "Preparing the language student for professional interaction", S. 194 - 210. |
