(DIPF/Orig.). What can be the reasons for different economic developments between countries? The reasons are multilayered and complex but human resources play an unambiguously important role. In this article, we examine the contribution of human resources to economic growth by using different theoretical growth models. The neo-classical works of Arrow and Solow as well as the models of the new growth theory by Romer and Lucas show that human resources play a decisive role for the economic growth. (DIPF/Orig.). |
