Abstract | [The authors] discuss the findings of their research on medical students in Australia, exploring how students seek and gather information using digital technologies. Identifying that learners have developed rather superficial approaches to information retrieval, they conclude that in opposition to the typical image of the highly skilled digital natives, today's learners require support and guidance about how to best develop their digital literacy skills in educational contexts.
