(DIPF/Orig.). Internationality as a mode of operationality and as an attribute of modern societies requires a new orientation within educational thought. At the same time, situated in the potential conflict between the reference to Europe and internationality, the reference to individual self-determination and societal responsibility that is contained in the concept of education, is likewise conceived as a universal principal. The granting and practice of criticism as a medium of knowledge and precondition of practice are - within this principle - at the same time, educational requirement and traditionalisation, knowledge acquisition and knowledge production in the dialectic between biography and history. Such an educational understanding could only be considered as European through its historical and geographical scope. Its universality manifests itself as a human rights issue among other socio-historical conditions in forms, which can potentially differ from the European codification. (DIPF/Orig.). |
