From the introduction (translation): How to teach programming in the upper secondary school level? There are still doubts about object oriented programming. This article wants to show that the decision for object-orientation does not (and must not) necessarily mean a loss of central issues of algorithmics. Through reflections on the historical development, which is portrayed here - as far as it is possible within the limits of a short article -, the author does not only give reasons for this approach but also shows that the aspects of the history of computer science given here should also be made accessible for students. |
