Abstract | "People with no qualifications have low employment rates when compared with the working age population as a whole, despite the fact that the majority of Jobcentre Plus vacancies do not state the need for qualifications, and evidence suggests that around a third of all jobs require no qualifications at all. BMRB was commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions to conduct a quantitative survey to identify the practices and preferences of employers in filling low-skilled vacancies, specifically: the methods used in recruiting for low-skilled jobs; and the key characteristics that employers look for when recruiting. In total, 3,682 interviews were carried out by telephone, with a response rate of 66 per cent. This report presents findings from the survey. The survey covers a specific group of employers: those who have recruited (or tried to recruit) for low-skilled vacancies in the past 12 months. This group constitutes 30 per centof the employer population as a whole (that is, 30 per cent of all employers in Great Britain had recruited, or tried to recruit, low-skilled candidates in the last year)." Die Untersuchung enthält quantitative Daten. Forschungsmethode: empirisch-quantitativ; empirisch; Befragung. Die Untersuchung bezieht sich auf den Zeitraum 2006 bis 2006.
