Abstract	Pedagogy at memorial sites of former concentration camps has to meet permanently increasing expectations and demands. On the one hand education is engaged in the multifunctional representation of historical documentation and remembrance, on the other hand it is challenged by different interests of educational institutions. After all pedagogy has to consider the knowledge and the peculiar interests of the pupils. Interestingly the link between these elements, the claim on and content of pedagogy and how they affect pupils, has not received adequate attention in research. The inquiry makes a first step towards the understanding of the process of learning effected by emotions and reflections. (DIPF/Orig.).
