Social Work at schools is looking back at a long and vivid tradition in the USA. The standards set by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) are vastly unknown in Germany. They could, however, make a valuable contribution to the present discussion - with its highly professional approach based on an integral concept of education and child/youth development and aiming at the best possible support of the individual as well as at the development and learning process of all organisations and systems involved. |
