| Abstract | "Der Artikel behandelt die Entwicklung von Mobilität und Kommunikation im Jugendalltag. Zunehmende Entgrenzung und Dynamisierung gesellschaftlicher Verhältnisse kennzeichnen die reflexive Moderne, und mit ihr differenzieren sich auch veränderte Mobilitäts- und Kommunikationsanforderungen heraus. Die Nutzung von Mobilitäts- und Kommunikationstechnik spielt dabei eine herausgehobene Rolle. Nur so kann über Distanzen hinweg agiert und kommuniziert werden. Identitätsprozesse im Jugendalltag bauen auf den infrastrukturellen Offerten der Gesellschaft auf. Charakteristisch ist heutzutage die Mobilisierung von Kommunikation, die bereits mobile Lebensverhältnisse und eine entfaltete Kommunikationstechnik unterstellt. Die Nutzung dieser Optionen verändert den Jugendalltag nachhaltig. Für die Jugendforschung bedeutet dies eine Herausforderung, ihre Sichtweise auf Jugend zu überprüfen." (Autorenreferat). "This article reflects the development of mobility and communication in everyday life of young people. Increasingly blurred boundaries and dynamics of social patterns are constitutive for reflexive modernity, within which differentiated requirements on mobility and communication come up. For example it is possible to act and communicate via distances. Processes of identity formation in youth life are based on the use of infrastructural offers of society. The mobilisation of communication is implied in modern forms of living, which are based on mobile circumstances of living and the disposal of technologies of communication and mobility. The use of these options leads to a fundamental change of youth life, and requires a consequent revision of youth research." (author's abstract). |
