The widespread Excel software is very well suitable for improving students' sense for stochastics. In his article, the author describes how to easily carry out large-scale simulations of non-trivial facts, without having any programming knowledge or using macros or "analytical functions", but with making use of multiple operations. The simulations are not only on "classics" such as the birthday problem or the problem of the complete series but also on phenomena which are theoretically discussed in other contributions to this issue. |
