Abstract	Disputes over histories and territories between nations began to appear all over the world after the formation of modern nation-states and national identities and the concept of territory was also formed. It is not easy to overcome these conflicts. However, with regional integrations and globalization, there are some exemplary cases, such as the Franco-German and German-Polish ones, showing that they initiated the reconciliation to overcome a long-standing hostile relationship and they went on to successfully publish joint history textbooks. This Northeast Asia History Foundation Research Series gives an in-depth explanation of the Textbook Meetings (Committees) in France and Germany. This book teaches us how to overcome disputed histories and create reconciliation in the Northeast Asian region. The first chapter briefly introduces a history of Franco-German relations to help unfamiliar readers to understand the region's history. The following chapter illustrates how the history textbooks on Franco-German relations have been revised from the 1930s and 1950s up to now. This book also included the committees' recommendations for history textbooks of both countries, which were translated into Korean and annotated. This book will help researchers and teachers to think about how to overcome disputed historic views in Northeast Asia. Contents: I.
