In this contribution the authors present the concept of "Interval and Tandem Services" a project for Practice Development, introducing first practice-related experiences. The project, a cooperation between the Youth Welfare Department independent social welfare organizations of the district Pankow, Berlin and the Faculty of Social Work of the University of Potsdam, started in January 2006. Within the framework of this project, a theoretical foundation will be provided for these services and there will be regular practice-related assessments and evaluations as a basis of their further development. The starting point of this new assistance for education, which the authors consider to be very innovative, is a way of social work oriented consistently towards the clients' self-help potentials. |
