Abstract | The article seeks to reflect on the current discussion that is generated around upper secondary education in Europe. ... It is divided in three sections... In the first section ... there is a discussion based on the role that the school must complete as an element inserted in the binomial relationship 'education and work'. [Here the author tries to redefine] what could be constituted as constructive orientations to understand the potential role of the school as allied of the labour context. [In the third part the 'utopic aspirations' of the European vocational training policy and employment policy with their 'lifelong learning' principles are assessed] . The third section studies three models that arise around the upper secondary education in Europe, from a comparative perspective. They are categorized in the present study as 'The Good', ' The Ugly' and 'The Bad'. (DIPF/Orig./Bi.) |
