Abstract	In this article the authors address the longer term issues of the effects and outcomes of students mobility on future careers. They review the studies and analyses of ERASMUS which have been carried out, producing both quantitative and qualitative data from the early 1990s to 2000. They argue for the need to increase the sources of information available and to introduce standardisation in order to make it comparable. Finally, on the basis of studies carried out, they examine effects on the careers of formerly mobile students, concluding that there is great difficulty in making clear or direct links. (DIPF/Orig.)
