Abstract | In this article the author draws on the global evaluation of SOCRATES (particularly COMENIUS and LINGUA), taking the effects of this programme as a case-study for posing the questions about the aims, content and forms of internationalisation in schools. In examining the information gathered on how schools assess their experiences and the outcomes of their participation, the author presents typical contents which they would give to internationalisation and the processes which it is considered to change in the life of the school. At the same time in examining criteria for moving to longer term effects and more coherent policies, she argues for more systematic collection of data, analysis and evaluation, policy reflection and formulation at systemic level.(DIPF/Orig.) |
