Abstract	Referring to other research findings in this particular field the authors offer a definition for the specific research subject of organization of occupational transition (OOT). Explanations are given regarding processes and forms of transition. Using parameters and criteria the authors are analyzing existing differences regarding transition within vocational training systems in some Member-States of the EU. "In order to identify the reasons for the differences in the organisation of occupational transition ... research draws on the comparison of political, institutional and collective bargaining areas and focuses, more particularly, on the global organisation and on the problems of diversification - standardisation and uniformity of the system. It is on the basis of this combination, the adjustment and regulation of these factors, that the main observations and results concerning types of transition towards employment are interpreted."
