| Abstract | The article informs readers about a sociological investigation of 4th year students from selected secondary schools in the Czech Republic, conducted in 1994. The concrete topic of investigation was concentrated on approach questions to education, analysis of study motivations, aspirations and on questions of students future assertion on labour market. The results confirmed that there is still high motivation of secondary school students for university education even nowadays. They also confirmed the necessity of university educational forms diversification, especially the necessity of the educational type development directed more practically. The analysis of the aquired details also showed that the next secondary school students educational path is involved with a finished secondary school type, the results at the school and the educational level of students parents.
