Abstract | The portfolio is a polysemic and multifunctional concept in the field of evaluation. Teachers and researchers have different representations of it and use it differently. This paper tries to distinguish through this diversity what is common and what is different in the intention and in the effective uses, in its application inside and outside of the educational system. Two case studies are presented: first an "Evaluation file" created in the context of a reform conducted in Switzerland, second a "European portfolio of languages". The article places these cases in a teoretical framework and tries to describe the cognitive processes developed during elaboration and use of portfolios. (DIPF/ orig.) |
