Abstract | This monograph provides the results from a complex and enriching process of cooperation at a trans- European level to develop new curricula and methods for foreign language teaching. The subject of the book is the introduction of a cultural dimension into foreign language teaching, in particular to realise one of the oft-stated aims of language teaching: to develop learner's intercultural competence. The publication demonstrates how teachers can realise these aims in the classroom and how teacher trainers can develop training modules to insure that teachers are well prepared for the task.
