Abstract	The book is divided into three main sections. The first one is an essay that gives an overview of higher education research and training, providing a context for the programs and centers listed in the inventory. The second section is the inventory itself.... It provides details on 187 education centers, institutes, and programs.... The final section is a listing of journals in the field of higher education worldwide. The intention of the book has been to describe the growing worldwide network of institutions and programs devoted to higher education. As postsecondary education has become a major policy concern in every country, there has been an expansion of research, service and training programs intended to serve higher education systems and institutions.
