Abstract	This report is the evaluation of the European Union co-financed policies and programmes in Italy in the framework of the European Social Fund, objective 4, which is focusing on anticipation, skills acquisition and improvement of training systems. Special emphasis is also given to further training for groups where involvement in training is less than average. The report comprises the following chapters: 1. Objective 4 and the Italian context: the programming hypotheses, 2. The implementation results, 3. Support/adjustment actions (axis 2), 4. Individualised training, 5.
