Abstract | First, the author briefly highlights main aspects which have been important influential determinants of possible changes in the area of the organisation of teaching and learning in European higher education: Diversification through the development of alternative sectors in higher education; specific structures of degree courses and programmes; political reforms in higher education; the relaltionship between secondary and tertiary institutions; expectations from the labor market; the European integration process as one of the most consequential determining factors in the near future; students learning as a measure of institutional efficiency. Second, the author turns to a short account of the contributions which are included in the above mentioned volume. (HoF/St.). |
