Abstract	The 39 papers of this volume are arranged into 3 sections: 1) Education for solidarity and global responsibility. Here articles are put together which discuss issues as education for peace, altruism, values, human rights and mutual understanding, global perspectives of education of humanization of education. 2) Multicultural education. The papers of this section mainly provide examples of multicultural education in various countries. 3) Science, technology and the humanities. The papers of this section are rather heterogenous concerning their themes: liberal arts and humanities in teacher education and as school subjects, citizenship and civic education, technology and the humanities, humanities in the technical age, use of technologies in teaching.
