| Abstract | The intention of this article "is to present some information and comments on a range of activities in academic mobility and co- operation which in one way or the other seem to contain a specific element of regionalism. The focus is on that element, and the field surveyed is that of some years of professional experience in a national agency for the promotion of international cooperation and exchange in higher education in Germany. It is therefore limited mainly to the German scene, impressionistic rather than systematic in approach, and subjective in viewpoint." The author focuses particularly on the German national system of academic mobility in comparison and in competition to the programmes of the European Community. (DIPF/Kr.). |
