| Abstract | The Secretaries of State for Education and Employment, Scotland and Wales published 'Lifetime Learning: A Consultation Document' on 5 December 1995. The formal closing date for responses was 26 February 1996. During this period, copies of the consultation document were sent to over 4,200 organisations. The Government has recieved over 480 responses. These responses have come from the full range of organisations consulted. A list of respondents is set out in the Annex. This document offers a summary of the responses. The format is simple: an initial section reporting general comments and thereafter, sections on each of the policy issues identified for consultation. It is not a detailed compilation, but a record of the key themes raised by respondents. For this reason, the views expressed are not attributed. (DIPF/orig.). |
